This is hilarious!

by ViEiRA @ Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 - 22:19:41

Don't read if you get through the first few lines and know, straight away, that it's going to be really TERRIBLE. Like Zvone did with that other one. Involving Freddie and Erik:)

A nice story not to read in front of your mum/dad/gran/vicar (delete as appropriate...

Unless your vicar is my dad. Then... It doesn't matter:) He will just say "Ew!", or "Hmm", or "I see".

And it doesn't go unillustrated on MY blog (Ever!)

Erm...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hmm...

I didn't mean these photos to be so... Illustrative. Honest:) (Well, OK, so I didn't at first. Then... I thought they were cool!)

And what would THEY say if they found out?

Nothing. Just this:

I didn't have that piccie on my comp until now!! Got it at uni, though.

And, finally, what is THIS all about?

Right, I'm off to see if this will upload from my PC. Sorry for the massive great blog holiday as well. Must do better. Maybe after my exams... Until next time, have a GREAT time and God bless!

So, now it's the World footballer of the year, which means, more Fabio in a suit. Oh, and does he deserve it? I'm past caring.

Jenni in particular will like these pictures.

I quote from a recent SMS message I received from her.

"Hmm. Zizou and Cannavaro up for Fifa Player of the Year. TODAY! Why can't it be on Thursday? I need my sleep and THAT after party won't give me any!"

What a slut.... :>>

Gourcuff article

by cartlionel @ Thursday, 14. Dec, 2006 - 17:00:25

It's funny how as soon as a magazine subscription runs out, said magazine suddenly starts being more.. interesting

FourFourTwo magically appeared at my house and hasn't left yet.. so. A quick flip through it reveals something that Mymah will positively DIE over. mwaahahahaaaaa

Yoann Gourcuff
Bigger size available. Click it
Yea, I know I need a new scanner.

Yoann Gourcuff introduced himself to AC Milan's fans in spectacular style earlier this season. Making his first start for the Italian giants since switching from Rennes a few months earlier, the 20-year-old Frenchman scored with a bullet header in his team's 3-0 Champions League victory over AEK Athens. Although a relative unknown to English fans, Gourcuff’s transfer made ripples in France. Though the classy midfielder is expected to go on to great things, there was concern in his homeland that he might struggle to impose himself in Serie A. Gourcuff was having none of it.

"I really felt the time was right," he explains earnestly. "I was ready for the challenge and where better to learn your trade, to take the next step forward, than at AC Milan?"

Gourcuff, whose father Christian is a former player and now manages French top-flight side Lorient, almost never became a footballer. Equally gifted at tennis, he only made up his mind a short while ago.

"I realised that it might be easier for me to make it in football," he says.

It was the first of several difficult decisions he has faced in his fledgling career. After starting out at Lorient, where his father was in his first spell as manager, he had to decide in 2001 whether to follow papa to Rennes. Yoann initially wanted to join Nantes instead, causing his father to wonder what was going on and whether his son was as good as he believed he was.

To find out for sure, Christian asked Patrick Rampillon, head of the youth academy at Rennes, for his opinion. "I told him I would go to his house on my knees to pick Yoann up if it meant I could have him with me at Rennes," Rampillon recalls with a grin. "He already had a great reputation."

The young Gourcuff wouldn't regret his choice. He scored in the final to help Rennes win France's youth cup in 2003 and signed his first professional contract the same year, despite interest from Arsenal and Valencia. He made his first-team debut aged 17 and became a regular the following season, which he ended by helping France Under-19s to win the European Championships in Ireland, with Gourcuff scoring a hat-trick against Norway en route.

Gourcuff is neither a pure playmaker nor a defensive midfielder. His father sees him more in the role of a Fernando Redondo or an Andrea Pirlo. And at Milan, Gourcuff now has a chance to learn from the Italian World Cup winner. Rampillon has no doubt his former protégé will become a major star.

"You can tell straight away that you're looking at a top-class footballer, he has everything going for him," says the man who guided Sylvain Wiltord through Rennes' youth academy. "He has a natural authority, great vision, his play is fluid and he is very intelligent. He has a creative talent that you rarely see these days. He's capable of making it right to the very top."

There you go, Cazza:)

Sadly, it doesn't seem to have been a very good weekend for wet football images, in spite of all the rain. I can't find Adebayor shirtless either. I did find out that his middle name is Sheyi.

Zizou's doing a PV

by ViEiRA @ Tuesday, 12. Dec, 2006 - 16:58:38

In that he's gone home for the first time in 20 years.

Zidane's heroic return to Algeria

By AP

ALGIERS, Algeria -- Zinedine Zidane returned to the birthplace of his parents yesterday for the first time in 20 years.

The three-time world player of the year from France arrived in the country as a special guest of Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Zidane will stay for five days and visit the area of Boumerdes, which was badly hit by an earthquake in May 2003, plus a day-care centre and hospitals in several regions.

Money from a match between France's national team and Marseille, organized by Zidane for earthquake victims, was used to help fund the construction of several establishments.

Zidane will visit his family's home village of Aguemoun on Friday. The Frenchman last visited the village in the lower Kabylie region in 1986 when he was 14.

"Today, he is making the same trip but as a hero," said Abdallah Zerouklane, the mayor of the nearby town of Boukhelifa.

One question; Why do Canadians get this news and we don't?!

Piccie time: You'll notice I've solved my hosting problem and don't have to go pro! Thanks Photobucket!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This was nicked using Paint and Print Screen from his official site. It's not very link friendly. To get photos you have to click on "Media photos videos" or something, then "Zizou en Algerie". The photos from his trip to Bangladesh are on there as well.

Well, I'm off to hit the nuclear button "Save!" now and hope it will work this time! Until next time, have fun and God bless.

Looky, looky here Cazza!

by ViEiRA @ Tuesday, 12. Dec, 2006 - 00:35:09

EDIT: You can't go straight to the piccie, you'll have to go here and look at the entry from Saturday 9th. I hate it when sites mock me!

They don't hate each other then...

Some of the attendant comments are hilarious. I had that thing about mens' hands!:)

I can just hear Cazza saying "OW!" if she's reading this tonight, but I think she's too busy.

God bless, Jenni xx

Another suit

by cartlionel @ Friday, 08. Dec, 2006 - 00:59:40

About a month ago there was this gala/auction/charity event thingy in Asia somewhere. Now, the only reason I know about this (you can tell I know soo much about it, right?) is because Batigol was invited. So, obviously I got all excited and prayed for pictures of him sporting a suit and looking as fit as he did in the last photo I have of him. (about 2 years old!) *sob*

No, of course there was no photos, I searched and searched but nothing was found.

And that's still the case.

But, today, A picture did turn up from the event.

Christian Karembeu.

sweet.

Christian Karembeu

Unfortunately, as far as I know, that woman with him is his wife. *sigh*

OOH can't wait..!

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry and designer Tommy Hilfiger have announced Henry will be an international band ambassador for the Tommy Hilfiger brand. Hilfiger plans to put out a men's collection inspired by Henry for the fall 2007 season, with all profits going to The One 4 All Foundation, a charity that aims to fight racism.

There will be six to eight items in Hilfigers's collection, including shirts, trousers, jeans, sweaters, jackets and ties.

Henry will model for Hilfiger's spring and fall 2007 ad campaigns.

It's always been tough for us to find the right guy, someone who personifies the nature of what we stand for," Hilfiger said, according to Sawf News. "He's got great personal style, he's a winner, he looks really cool in anything we put him in and [he] does casual really well."

The most important thing has been "emphasised" :>> Shame we have to wait for.. like.. AGES to see those guaranteed to be yummy pics.

Another Olof video

by cartlionel @ Tuesday, 05. Dec, 2006 - 20:29:48

Yep, that’s right... except. It’s all DRM’d up. (thanks Sky) so don’t know how to share it. :(

I have a week to figure out a way to get it on here before it disappears off my PC for ever and ever.

And I will figure it out.. even if I have to hold up my phone to my PC and record it! :)) There's no way this video is disappearing off my computer without a trace!

Anyway, it’s an oldish interview, from February, I think. But as he seems to be fit in February, (I was blind before the World Cup, stupid Cazza!) then it’s definitely worth seeing,

Oh and the print screen key still works on it!

My anger!!!

by ViEiRA @ Monday, 04. Dec, 2006 - 18:17:47

I can't BELIEVE how everyone thinks it is their right to perform a character assassination of Thierry Henry.

According to the Independent, Thierry was only on the bench because he can't stand not being the centre of attention. Please see the picture below:

Thierry, Senderos, Flamini

In which Senderos, who is suspended, is also on the bench. Is he clamouring to be the centre of attention too? Or is it somehow Henry's fault that a) the cameras choose to focus on him, and b) his team-mates seem to like him?

Also, the Mirror has Adebayor confirming that Henry is unhappy. What he actually said was that they're ALL unhappy because of our recent indifferent form. He did not single out Henry!

thi1v

More wallpaper anyone?

Thierry, I love you. I want you to stay on the sidelines as long as it takes you to recuperate from this injury, I want you to be on the bench like all the other sidelined Arsenal players seem to be, I think you are a great captain, and I want to leap when I see you like this:

thi3h

But I can't atm because I might break you:( I'll have to look after you properly instead:)

God bless, Jenni xx

Today's (not so random) Piccie

by cartlionel @ Saturday, 02. Dec, 2006 - 22:54:47

We beat the scum!
Without Thierry!
Woo!

But he still managed to set my pulse racing... Dressed all in black, including his gloves (of course). Bless him. Wonder if he uses Fairy Liquid on his hands? I mean, they must be so nice, not being weathered or anything.. :>>

Thierry and Adebayor

And tonight I'll dream that, actually my name is Emmanuel Adebayor.. :))

Happy Birthday Mymah!

And that will be the first and last time you see him on this blog :)) xx

No no NO! We HAVE to save Henrik!

by ViEiRA @ Friday, 01. Dec, 2006 - 15:23:37

Cazza, if you have anything to add, please feel free to edit or add another post:)

It's just WRONG.

Cazza thinks he may be seeking attention. We have a month to stop him going there. We have to save him!

Right, here we go, let's allocate some duties.

Cazza - Start a new blog called "save-henrik.blog.co.uk" or something, just a temp one for us to use. Think of some ideas. Incentivise yourself using THAT 2000 calendar piccie.

Me - Spend International Political Theory seminar thinking of stuff.

Mymah - Think of stuff plus anything else you want to do, possibly incentivise him to go to Milan or something? Try and get a contact address at Helsingborgs for us to write to him.

Ros - Get sonic screwdriver fingers sorted in case we have to do any breaking and entering. Put the kettle on:)

If anyone else wants a task allocated to them, please comment.

Piccie time (this is WHY we have to save him):

henriklarsson0622_g2

"Attention! You only have 372Kb space left." Pro pro pro...

Get to it girls!

Why oh WHY?

by cartlionel @ Friday, 01. Dec, 2006 - 15:18:25

I was happily reading the news this morning.. when BAM!

Admittedly, Henrik Larsson hasn't been a close "friend" for quite a long time. OK, ever since he decided to hack his hair off. (fool). Oh and there was that football match in May where he decided to make Barcelona win the Champions League.

Other than that, I have nothing against him..!

Especially when he scores a goal and pokes out that too long to be allowed tongue of his...

So.. Now he wants to go to ManU..? He's either crying out for some attention, or.. has gone insane.

*sob*

Henrik in the good ol days.
